SERVING – 1 (PORTION SIZE/SERVING = 1 STD CUP)
- BROKEN WHEAT – 75GMS
- CHOPPED VEGETABLES – ½ CUP
- CHOPPED ONION – 1 SMALL
- CUMIN SEEDS – ¼ TSP
- OIL – 1 TBSP
- SALT – TO TASTE
- CHOPPED CORIANDER – 1 TSP
- WATER – 200ML
- GREEN CHILLIES – 2
METHOD
- Heat oil, fry cumin seeds, onion, chopped vegetables and green chillies till tender.
- Add broken wheat and fry for sometime.
- Add salt and water and cook on slow fire till done.
- Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
VARIATIONS
- SPROUTED MOONG DALIA
Substitute ½ a cup of sprouted green gram for vegetables.
- VEGETABLE POHA
Substitute 100g of rice flakes for wheat rava. Add 1 Tbsp of grated coconut while frying the vegetables. Garnish with coarse powder of roasted peanuts.
- VEGETABLE VERMICELLI
Substitute 100g of vermicelli for wheat rava.
- JOWAR VEGETABLE UPMA
Substitute 100g of broken jowar for wheat rava.
- BAJRA UPMA
Substitute 1oog of broken bajra for broken wheat.
