This is version 2.0 of the famous hyderabad spot idli with minimal oil that was used just to smear the idli moulds.

Preparation Method of Spot Idli 2.0
- Take the idli moulds and smear with Gingelly oil.
- Place a spoonful of sautéed onion-tomato mixture.
- Sprinkle with idli karam and pour a ladle of idli batter.
- Steam for 7 minutes.
- Unmould the idlies. Sprinkle idli karam liberally.
- Serve hot or warm with a curd-based dip or a chutney of your choice.
