Plain and simple boiled nuts, sauces to pickles, this protein-packed legume can be combined with any Indian food effortlessly. Here is a peanut salad/chaat loaded with fresh vegetables and flavoured with simple fresh spices to enhance your meal… Both with its colour and taste.
Ingredients for Peanut Salad
- Peanuts 1 cup
- Grated carrots 1 medium
- Cucumber chopped 1 medium
- Onion finely chopped 1 medium
- Green chilly 3 finely chopped
- Coriander leaves handful
- Amla 1 finely chopped
- Salt as required
- Sesame oil 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds 1tsp
- Asafoetida a pinch
Preparation Method:
- Wash the peanuts and boil in an open pan till cooked crunchy.
- Drain, cool, and mix the nuts with all the vegetables.
- Add the required salt and temper.
- Serve at room temperature or chilled.
- Can be eaten as a snack or as a meal accompaniment.
