Jowar Vegetable Paratha

The vegetable paratha is made with sorghum /Jowar flour as the base. Whole wheat flour adds to the gluten content thus making the paratha soft and pliable.

Ingredients For Jowar Vegetable Paratha

  • Jowar flour 3/4cup
  • Wheat flour 1/2 cup
  • Onion 1medium finely chopped
  • Carrot 1 medium grated
  • Green chilly 2 chopped
  • Coriander leaves chopped a handful
  • Cumin seed 1 tsp
  • Chilly powder 1 tsp
  • Salt as required.

Preparation Method

  • Add enough water to the above ingredients and mix into a soft pliable dough.
  • Rest for 10 minutes.
  • Roll into parathas.
  • Cook the paratha on a hot griddle till both sides develop brown spots.
  • Smear some ghee and remove.
  • Serve hot
