Instant mango chunda…… Gujarathi summer special. A quick to prepare jam-like relish made with a special variety called the totapuri or the killimukku. Tangy with a tinge of sweetness this variety is perfect for the preparation of chunda.
Ingredients for Mango chunda (a) Mango Jam
- Grated raw mango 6 cups
- Sugar 6 cups
- Turmeric 1 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Roasted Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Preparation Method:
- Mix all the above ingredients in a heavy-bottomed pan and cook till 1 string consistency.
- Bottle when warm
- Stays good at room temperature for 1 year.
- Serve with chappthies, pulkhas, parathas, bread toast, and more
