The Chennai monsoon had cast its spell over Bangalore. It was an evening of incessant rains, chill winds, and cold weather. Listening to the musical sound of the dancing raindrops on my umbrella and bracing against the cold winds, I quickened my pace as I did not want to get drenched. All I wanted was to curl up with some hot bajjis or pakoras and a steaming cup of tea. I began to miss my kitchen immensely, just when the aroma of fried bajjis wafted through, from the food court. I walked in and was elated to see fresh hot stuffed bread bajjis being stacked up. It was a cosy evening indeed with perfect rainy-day bites.

Preparation Method for Bread Bajji Recipe:

  • Spread the chutney on the bread slices.
  • Place a spoonful of potato masala on one slice and sandwich it with another slice.
  • Cut the sandwich into squares or triangles. Dip in batter and deep fry till golden brown.
