Banana Chips Homemade | Air Fryer Recipe

The history of potato chips dates back to 1853 when George Crum, a renowned chef of Native American and Black heritage, took offense at a request in the dining room of Moon’s Lake House in Saratoga. The potato fries that he had made were returned several times by Commodore Vanderbilt because he felt that it was too thick and soggy. In an “I’ll show him!” mood, Crum sliced some potatoes as thin as he could, fried them to a crisp brown and served them to Vanderbilt. To Crum’s surprise, Vanderbilt loved them, and the potato chip was born.
