Ingredients for Aloo-Methi Dosa Recipe

  • Potatoes 1/2kg
  • Onions 1/4 kg
  • Methi leaves /fenugreek leaves 1 bunch
  • Garam masala 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilly powder 1 tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Dosa batter
  • Sesame oil for pan-frying
  • Idli pod

Preparation method for Aloo Mix

  • Take a heavy-bottomed pan. Add the oil. When hot add the onions and saute till translucent.
  • Add the potatoes along with all the dry spices and salt. Saute for 5 minutes.
  • Finally, sprinkle the fenugreek leaves, mix well and remove from flame.

Preparation method for Aloo-Methi Dosa

  • Take a ladle of dosa batter and make a thin dosa on a hot girdle.
  • Drizzle some sesame oil on the dosa.
  • Take some aloo-methi masala and smear on one half of the dosa.
  • Sprinkle idli podi liberally on the dosa and fold as shown in the video.
  • Serve hot
