Ingredients for Pickled Onions:
- Small-sized onions /shallots /sambar onions -1 cup peeled with 4 slits on the top
- Vinegar 2 cups
- Ginger juliennes 1 tbsp
- Green chilli medium 10 slit
- Beetroot 1 small -cut into sticks
- Salt to taste
Preparation Method:
- Take a pan with ½ cup of water. Add the beetroot pieces and bring them to a boil. Simmer for a minute and switch off the flame. Cool.
- Take a glass jar. Add all the ingredients mentioned above along with the cooled beetroot and the cooked water.
- Mix well and allow to soak.
- The pickle can be enjoyed after 2 days.
- Refrigerate and use.
