Ingredients for Mangai Pachadi
- Raw mango cubed 1 cup
- Powdered jaggery 1/2cup
- Neem flowers 1 tbsp
- Mustard 1 tsp
- Asafoetida a pinch
- Turmeric a pinch
- Red chilly broken 2
- Green chilly slit 1
- Salt a pinch
- Ghee 1 tsp
Preparation Method:
- Take a heavy-bottomed pan and add the mango cubes.
- Add water such that the mangoes are submerged.
- Allow to cook on low flame with a pinch of salt and turmeric powder.
- When soft add the jaggery and boil on low flame till the mixture thickens.
- Remove from the fire onto a bowl.
- Heat ghee. Splutter mustard seeds, asafoetida, red chilly, neem flowers, and green chilly. Fry till the flowers turn brownish-black. Add to the pachadi.
- Serve warm or cold
