Instant Mango Chunda | Mango Jam| Gujarathi Special

Instant mango chunda…… Gujarathi summer special. A quick to prepare jam-like relish made with a special variety called the totapuri or the killimukku. Tangy with a tinge of sweetness this variety is perfect for the preparation of chunda.

Ingredients for Mango chunda (a) Mango Jam

  • Grated raw mango 6 cups
  • Sugar 6 cups
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Roasted Cumin seeds 1 tsp

Preparation Method:

  • Mix all the above ingredients in a heavy-bottomed pan and cook till 1 string consistency.
  • Bottle when warm
  • Stays good at room temperature for 1 year.
  • Serve with chappthies, pulkhas, parathas, bread toast, and more
