The vegetable paratha is made with sorghum /Jowar flour as the base. Whole wheat flour adds to the gluten content thus making the paratha soft and pliable.
Ingredients For Jowar Vegetable Paratha
- Jowar flour 3/4cup
- Wheat flour 1/2 cup
- Onion 1medium finely chopped
- Carrot 1 medium grated
- Green chilly 2 chopped
- Coriander leaves chopped a handful
- Cumin seed 1 tsp
- Chilly powder 1 tsp
- Salt as required.
Preparation Method
- Add enough water to the above ingredients and mix into a soft pliable dough.
- Rest for 10 minutes.
- Roll into parathas.
- Cook the paratha on a hot griddle till both sides develop brown spots.
- Smear some ghee and remove.
- Serve hot
