INGREDIENTS
- POHA/RICE FLAKES – 1 CUP
- BENGAL GRAM FLOUR /BESAN – 1 CUP
- CHOPPED SPINACH – 1 CUP
- KASTURI METHI – 1 TBSP
- AJWAIN/CAROM SEEDS/OMAM – 1 TSP
- TURMERIC – 1 TSP
- CHILLY POWDER – 1 TSP
- ASAFOETIDA – 1/4 TSP
- SALT – TO TASTE
- OIL – FOR FRYING
METHOD
- Wash and soak the rice flakes in half a cup of water for 10 minutes.
- Drain and squeeze the extra water if necessary.
- Add all other ingredients and make into a soft dough.
- Grease your palms and pat then into vadas/discs.
- Deep frying in oil on medium flame till golden brown.
- Serve with ketchup /mint chutney
